You need to find out what the reading norms should be for a child of his age/size etc?

CarGirl · 24/03/2008 17:04

also it will fluctuate depending on when and what he's eaten, although if it's very "wrong" then it will be obvious I suppose?

what is the latest??

Trace it should be between 4 and 7. If he does have diabetes it'll be way up in the 30s or possibly even reading 'HI'. I'm glad your going to get peace of mind.

It's ridiculous that they won't give you an appointment until april 8th. You need to insist or go to A&E.

Of course it may not be diabetes and I really hope it isn't but you need to know as early as possible.

at least they seem to be taking your concerns seriously now, I hope you get to the bottom of it all very soon.
