Postpartum mental health

I'm 4 months postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding. I've always been quite an anxious person but I've noticed since giving birth it's so so bad. I have bad health anxiety and am constantly worried about the health of my 3 children as well as constantly thinking I'm dying. Before baby I would take vitamin b12 and b6 as well as exercise regularly and eat good which I believe really helped. Obviously now I am breastfeeding I know I have to be careful what I take so not taking any vitamins and I have 3 small children so just can't seem to be able to find the time or motivation. I really feel like I've hit a brick wall. I don't want to go to the doctors and just been given tablets. Do you think breastfeeding could be making it worse? Does anybody have any tips or advice what could help?

I has this but I wasn't breastfeeding.. my kids were really small and thrn i didn't get time to switch off I was exhausted and constantly on the go.. maybe try telaxing ir having g a nap when they are in school.. I also Suffer fro. BAD health anxiety where I drove all my family crazy with it.. what helped me is by telling myself constant that there is nothing wrong with me and its all in my head.... when I used ti have a good night sleep I noticed the brain wasn't telling me I have something wrong with me constantly...

I'm so sorry you're struggling. I've had terrible mental health after both DC and had great support from the perinatal team.

You should definitely take vitamins if you're breastfeeding, I take the Pregnacare breastfeeding ones. They're expensive but you can get them cheaper with short expiry dates.

I really hope you feel better soon. I know you will 🙂

PS the perinatal team won't put you on medication unless you want it - there are loads of other ways they support you.
