So I think I have a haemorrhoid but something is different to what I’ve experienced before and I can’t find the answers through Google…
Context - have had 1-2 fissures at most given times for 20 years. For me, it’s not a big deal pain-wise and I’m used to the bleeding. I have had one turn into a fistula, which was laid open a couple of years ago and healed great. I have also had the odd small (presumably classed as external) haemorrhoid that has gone with little intervention. So I know a bit about dealing with bum stuff.
But since the beginning of the year something new is going on…I basically have what I thought was an external pile but it goes up and down all day in terms of swelling - it literally swells up in 60 seconds sometimes. And it’s quite ‘puffy’ rather than firm when it’s bigger.
Does it look like a pile? I don’t know. I thought so but maybe it’s something else because the internet says they don’t go up and down like that…I’ve been using scheriproct suppositories and nothing has changed so maybe it’s something else.
Anyway, can anyone relate to this? And if so, was it a haemorrhoid or something else?
NB. I know I need to see a doctor and I will as soon as I can but I’m a bit worried it’s another fistula (just because of the surgery downtime) but it doesn’t look like the same as my last fistula did.
