Swollen inside bottom lip for weeks

Anyone know what this is? I’ve been to the doctors given some coldsore tablets they did nothing. I originally thought canker sore but it just doesn’t look like the ones I’ve seen online. I was a smoker until I had a few health issues recently so I’m Abit concerned as to why it hasn’t gone away.

I am prone to ulcers and to biting myself (the wounds often end up looking like ulcers). If I have any wound or new scar in my mouth when I see my dentist, she always asks me how long it's been there. Her advice is to come and see her if anything takes longer than a month to heal, or if any unexplainable change takes longer than a month to return to normal.
