Abdominal pain

So for a few years I’ve had on off abdominal pain with wind and nausea. I saw a gastro consultant and had normal bloods, negative h.pylori and negative faecal calprotectin. I had an ultrasound which only found an incidental liver cyst which after CT with contrast was shown to be an innocent haemangioma.
The pain settled down but this last two weeks is back. I’ve been constipated despite no change in diet or medication, I go every couple of days but it’s hard and in bits. I’ve got lower down abdo pain, as in between belly button and pelvis. I’ve had a few normal bowel movements but the pain has remained. I feel nauseous with it, bloated and have a gurgly tummy. I’m eating extra fiber and eating more fruit and drinking more water but no change.
My gastro consultant has recommended a gastroscopy but this is for the upper part of stomach which to me doesn’t seem to be where the issue is as I don’t have acid or reflux or swallowing issues. I am going to cancel this booked for next week (private) but wonder what this could be and if anyone has had the same?!
I'm happy to have the gastroscopy but wonder if I need a colonoscopy?! I think as I mentioned slight relief on eating (despite not being as hungry as usual) he assumed maybe ulcer related…
Any thoughts welcome!

Have you been checked for bowel obstruction (CT SCAN/Xray)? ALL your symptoms seem to line up.

Nothing recently no. My CT was of my liver then a follow up ultrasound to check the haemangioma hadn’t grown and that was if everywhere but no scan since December.

I think pp is spot on with this train of thought. You're definitely showing signs of constipation and diet is not improving it so it may well be a fecal impaction. I've just had one and although I wasn't in a lot of pain, more discomfort I'd say but the nausea, inability to eat, wind, gurgling stomach, bloating all matched, I ended up taking myself to a&e where I was given a stomach X ray that showed I was completely full of stool despite going to the toilet every single day! And I've just completed a disimpaction regime and am now slowly reducing the laxido and honestly my digestive system feels like it's been reset, I haven't felt this healthy in over 6 months.

@Nogodsnomasters Snap. Also just had one. It was an emergency, the pain is the most horrendous I've ever experienced. The 'stomach gurling' was more like the sound of an internal ocean. @op i'd mention to your GP you suspect it might be an obstruction, can they investigate that?

Aw so sorry you've been through this, it's absolutely awful. I'm surprised I wasn't in more pain than I was! The gurgling was on another level, the noises my stomach made was like something out of a horror movie and the severe nausea was unbearable, I couldn't even sleep because of it.

Wow ok thanks for the insight! I think maybe I didn’t describe it properly to the consultant over the phone he assumed it was upper GI causing it. Also I said I was constipated then I wasn’t but since talking to him the weird hard bowel motions are back again! I haven’t got awful pain just very uncomfortable and nauseous. I assumed a bowel obstruction would be worse and get worse? This seem to be ongoing and not worsening but also not getting better! I’ll ring the secretary on Monday as he’s private and see what they suggest!
