Why am I panicking again 😭

Waiting for a gastro appointment on the 12th March as the last 14 months I have had several, recurrent episodes of painful diarrhoea. Sometimes only 2 weeks apart, sometimes up to three months apart.

I have had an ultrasound of my abdomen. A pelvic scan, blood tests (not anaemic) 2 fit tests (both negative).

But after another flare up this afternoon (which logically I know is caused by the fact yesterday I had a curry, a McDonald’s and only 3 hours sleep due to my own son having a tummy bug) I am now convinced I have stage 4 bowel cancer. None of my cbt methods are working and now I don’t know what to do! Very close to taking £2000 out of my savings for a Private colonoscopy just to know either way.

My husband has IBS and gets painful diarrhoea. He also suffers from diverticulitis and has flare ups of that. He loves a curry but has them rarely as he then complains he’s never having another one as he spends the next day running to the loo feeling ill.
So keep your money, also anxiety can make it worse so try everything you can to let it go and relax.
If you want to be proactive keep a food diary. Drink probiotics. My husband finds if he misses two days of his probiotic drinks he has an awful flare up.
