HSV2 please help me understand.

I have been seeing a man who I had sex with using a condom thankfully! But I gave him oral sex. The day after he said he has noticed a flare up of hsv2 which he said he has had before. Does this now mean I have hsv2 from giving him oral sex? I'm really worried.

You could do. It's impossible to say. You may also have it but not get symptoms for ages.

HSV2 isn't very active if you get it round the mouth, it doesn't seem to like the site. You might have it but if you do you might never know. If you don't get an outbreak you could have a blood test, they aren't the most reliable and of course if it comes back positive you won't know where you have it, the condom is protection but not 100%.
