Any dentists around? Teeth or sinuses?

Cursing myself for not trying to get an appointment with my dentist today, so now I've got to wait until Monday to discover the cause of my awful toothache. Are there any dentists who can advise?

I have sinusitis - congested, pain around the left side of my nose, foul-smelling mucus which - joy of joys - almost came out of my eye while blowing my nose yesterday. It's a recurring problem, and sinusitis + toothache inevitably follow every cold I get.

I also have a horrible toothache - radiating around the left side of my top and bottom teeth, but mainly focused around the front teeth. I know it sounds like it's obviously sinus pain, but there are a few things which are making me worried that it's an abscess or some other dental cause:

  • sensitivity to heat and cold (I do have sensitive teeth, but this has noticeably worsened)
  • at the very top of my gum, above my left incisor, there is pain when I press it. I had a knock to this tooth a few months ago when my toddler headbutted me (!) (My actual teeth don't hurt if I push or tap them though)
  • pain doesn't come and go when I jump or bend over, but it does worsen when I smile or wrinkle my nose

I have a huge amount of anxiety over my teeth and needing dental work, and the idea that this tooth might need root filling or extraction is making me really stressed. Can anyone advise?

No way to tell without an x Ray.
Treat as sinus for now. See dentist once sinus is better for x rays.

@HalfasleepChrisintheMorning that's sensible advice, thank you - fingers crossed it is just sinuses!
