Is it normal to lose this much hair when washing/brushing it?

Picture attached...

Past few months or so my hair has just been falling out and getting so thin. It's getting worse now!

Is this normal or am I being dramatic? 🤣

This has been happening to me. have you had covid in the last 6 months?

We had covid twice in the summer and this seems to happen to me 6 months after covid if I haven’t had antivirals/infusion (which I hadn’t after the second bout of covid in 23) All my bloods etc were normal hormones balanced etc - it’s slowed now after about 8 weeks and I have very thin, fine, patchy hair now with tufts of new re growth.

You are losing about the same amount of hair as me. My hair is so thin now it’s like candy floss.

I was told by my doctor my bloods were normal. No explanation for it. Just told to take a multivitamin.
Its so bad I dread washing my hair because so much comes out in my hands and after a week or 2 my brush resembles a small furry animal.

I had my bloods done because I was losing hair....but way less than you! The male locum GP at the practice said my ferritin levels were fine. A couple of weeks later I went back to see the female GP who took one look at my bloods and went "Honestly, they should know those levels aren't high enough for a woman of your age!" and put me straight on iron pills, after which my hair stopped falling out.
