Blood test results

Quick question about blood test results….

Daughter had blood tests carried out in hospital earlier this week at the request of our GP. The GP surgery has confirmed the results were sent to them this afternoon, but as it was late afternoon when they were received the GP would not be accessing them or reviewing them until at least Monday given it is the weekend. It may even be mid next week apparently. I was expecting to know the outcome today and am going demented having to wait.

If there had been anything untoward found, would you expect the hospital to have labelled the results or flagged them in some way as urgent to ensure they were looked at quickly?

Yes, anything urgent would have been given to you by now. I have regular blood tests and of I get them done say on a Thursday, anytime up until 2pm, if there is something urgent, I hear that same day
