Hi this is a bit tmi but I am having constipation followed by diarrhea then going back to being constipated, this morning I had to send off a stool sample and it was so hard because I was constipated I basically had to force myself to go and it came out very thin like a shoelace which isn’t normal for me, Then this evening I had dinner and when I finished eating and was rinsing off my plate I immediately felt like I had to go to the toilet when I sat on the toilet nothing happened so I had to force myself to go again but it was pure liquid diarrhea now I am back to being constipated, if anyone had this what was it that was wrong so I can bring it up to the GP

Lovely you just need to tell the GP your own symptoms and let them investigate, rather than fretting on whatever randomers on the internet might have had that maybe could possibly probably not at all be related Flowers

People who are very constipated can have what is called overflow diarrhoea op. Essentially the newer, less solid waste forces itself around the constipated stool and so what you pass is liquid. You really need to either speak to your gp, or maybe a pharmacist in the meantime for some advice and appropriate medication to help you get things moving along op.

@ArmchairPhycologist i have been to my GP they gave me fecal test for bowel cancer I asked on here to see if anyone else had the same symptoms to see if it could be something else less serious

Overflow diarrhoea is very common with people who have constipation. Have you spoken with a pharmacist?
