Hello,

I am struggling with a high heart rate after birth! Those who have hyperthyroidism- what does your heart rate currently sit at please?

Hi, Mine is around 80 at the moment. That's on carbimazole now. I did take beta blockers too but they made my asthma flair!

Sorry, should have said, that's resting. At its worst, it was 120 at resting and was admitted to hospital at that point.

dickdarstardlymuttley · 16/02/2024 19:37

If your heart rate is over 100 call your GP. As I understand it. Your GP will want to ensure your heart rate is well controlled on medication such as propranolol.

@dickdarstardlymuttley I am currently on bisoprolol. Waiting for the 24 hour holster monitor results but been reading up on thyroid issues and wondering if it's something they should explore?
