Travelling with Chickenpox....

Two of my 16m old daughter's friends have come down with Chicken Pox . She last had contact with them about 2 wks ago about a day before one of her friend's spots started to show. We're off skiing next weekend (with our daughter), and although she hasn't developed any rash or spots or even a temp...yet...I'm terrified she may yet get it. I'm assuming it's a total no-no travelling by plane when your child has Chicken Pox? Any advice if we do find outselves in this situation? We do have travel insurance, thankfully. How long do the spots hang around for if they do get Chicken Pox?

Chicken pox is infectious until the last spot has appeared - so when you have a day with no new spots and they all have scabs on then the infectious period has passed. So you can get on a plane with chicken pox scabs but not with chicken pox blisters (they're filled with clear fluid).

The main prob is that you don't know no more spots are coming until 1-2 days after the last one came up and scabbed over.
