Cold sores - anyone else been through this?!

I have recently got a bad cold sore and have been very stringent in not allowing any contact with my 7 mo.
This afternoon he projectile vomited in the car (never done this before) so as you can imagine, I hurriedly parked and got him sorted. Only in my panic, I forgot to put my mask on and I think I may have grazed his head ever so slightly with my lip.
I know the dangers and am usually very stringent.
Rang drs and they said all likely fine but to keep an eye.
Anyone else done this??? I’m very panicked.

I really wouldn't worry about just brushing against his head. My 6 month old was kissed on the lips by someone with an active cold sore and was fine. GP'S advice at the time was also that it would probably be fine and even though I couldn't quite believe it, they were right!

Ok thank you @ABwhyAB That does make me feel better. Glad your LO was all good, I’d have been out of my mind!
Who in their right mind kisses someone else’s baby with a cold sore! I refused to be in the same room with my friends babies when I had one - bit OTT I know haha!
