C section scar

I'm 8 months pp and I think my scar area is infected. I had an infection when it was healing at around 3 weeks pp had some cream for it and it cleared up.

This was my fourth section and the skin fold is awful this time, obviously I'm bigger than I used to be. Is it normal for it to become infected this late pp, it's very red and looks like it's oozing when I pull the skin/belly back 😬

Has anyone else had this? Is there anything I can do other than extra hygiene precaution and try to loose some of the belly 🤦‍♀️

Are you sure it’s not sweat or thrush? You can get it in dark, warm places. Other than that you’d need a swab done.

I would definitely recommend going to your GP as it sounds like it could possibly be infected with it so red and oozing. I have had quite a few c-section scar infections. Latest one being 4 years after I gave birth ! It's definitely worth getting an appointment incase you need an antibiotic or cream etc.
