Daily head aches?

In the past 7 days I’ve had a head ache almost every day (5 days out of 7), sometimes it starts just after getting out of bed.
Had my eyes tested a couple months ago and new glasses so I don’t think it’s my eyes. I am 42 and possibly peri (awful mood swings and anxiety). GP gave me Propranolol which I took last night, I could take another now? I am already on Naproxin and am topping up with paracetamol when I need it but it doesn’t shift the head aches. Pretty sure it’s hormonal and stress. Is these anything else I can take to shift them? It’s making me really tired and even more grumpy.

I’m sorry to say that you could well be exacerbating the headaches by taking pain medication every day. It would be a good idea to stop the medication for a couple of days and see how you go. If it is stress than try slowing down, have a relaxing bath etc.

Have you got a stiff neck or shoulders? I find I get headaches if I have those and a warm wheatie bag thing helps a lot. Or a massage.

Sadly I can’t have caffeine (makes me unwell. I do take breaks from the pain killers, I only take them when I really need too. My neck and shoulders feel fine, just feel really tired by mid day.
