Covid flu like illness

About 3 weeks ago DH and I had a very Covid like illness with a relentless dry cough, congestion, headaches and general aches. Covid tests were all neg.

It was very bad for 3-4 days then gradually got better but we are still feeling so very fatigued.

We're generally getting 7-8 hours sleep (when kids allow) but we both feel so exhausted and have nothing left once kids are in bed and then we're struggling to wake up

It's getting annoying / boring now. Has anyone else experienced this and when will it end?

Something like this has been swooping through my work and lasting ages. Sorry, no positive spin on it, it's lasted ages for everyone I know. I think it's everywhere.

I felt like this after Covid and started taking an old fashioned tonic with iron, it definitely helped. I read somewhere that Covid depletes your iron store, it seems plausible that other viruses do too. I just picked up a bottle of liquid iron supplement from Boots and took it for a couple of weeks.
