Discovered it this morning. Red, flat, non-itchy, goes away under pressure (phew). No fever, feeding well, alert, bit unhappy and unsettled but mostly fine when held. Been to out-of-hours doctor who can't say what it is. Tbh it looks allergic to me but he is excl bf, bathed in plain water once a week, haven't eaten anything unusual or used a new type of washing powder. Teething? (Is showing other signs thereof). Virus? (Has had a cold for a while, there seems o be a slight resurgence). ???

DD2 has been having a rash like this too for the past few weeks (she's nearly 6 months old). I think it's eczema and I'm finally taking her to the GP next Friday. No idea what it is otherwise (also BF etc), only on her forehead and near one ear.

Oh, totally different to your DS2's.

thanks C. hope you get it sorted out.

ds2's is only on his stomach and back. Did have (or so it seemed) isolated ones on his face and legs, but they don't seem to have developed.

Anyone?

It had seemed to fade a little this morning but is back more clearly tonight and seems to have spread slightly. He is still OK, not feverish or anything but fairly unsettled, in a way that seems like teething. Has had a (for him) long sleep this afternoon.

Could it be roseola? He'd been running a slightly raised temp (high 37s) the couple of evenings before the rash came. Is roseola always assoociated with a high fever?

TBH my first thought was that it looked like roseola but you said a dr had seen him and that one is such a classic I didn't think it could have been missed. I think the fever is before the rash.

It's spread to his face and arms. If his fever hadn't been so slight I'd be pretty certain it's roseola.
