I have had my thumb and finger strapped together all day in the vain hope it would stop me using them and get better. I have taken it off as it is annoying plus still hurting.

What can I do?

The best I can come up with is nerve damage.

What did the doc say?

Are they sore, or just annoying?

Doc said put ice on it to get swelling down and carry on with pain killers. I have stopped them as they aren't helping.

It aches. Has spread to my finger. My arm aches at times too. And when I touch my thumb, it hurts like when you burn yourself and touch it.

Did the doc not know what it was?

s/he should have sent you for tests of some kind if s/he didn't know what it was!!!!

Can you go back & tell him/her you are still in pain?

He said I had obviously suffered some kind of trauma to my thumb.

I have a friend who is a nurse and she said the tingling was telling my brain I had nerve damage. I doubt I can't do anything for that but I can't do nothing for the next 2 days - even with DH here. I def can't drive. I can barely MN.
