Have a sore finger. It hurts if I knock it

I accidentally pricked it when doing my insulin pen a few days ago and now it looks like this!

Could it have become infected if painful? Try using magnesium sulphate paste, it will draw out any infection.

That is an infection brewing behind a scab.

Aye looks like it's infected.

As a fellow diabetic I'm meant to tell you to go to the Dr. What I'd do personally is give it a soak in some hot water then give it a squeeze/scrape the top off and squeeze and see what happens.

With a bit of luck it'll pop like a spot and heal nicely. If not then you can see a Dr tomorrow.

Pics if you do though 🙈

DH suggested soaking it in a hot water and TCP solution then seeing if we can burst it

I mean, I've got 7 more fingers right!

That's the spirit 😁😁

Watch for tracking signs - red line from the infection going down your finger. If so you’ll need antibiotics. I know a diabetic and she gets the strongest tablets at any sign of infection. But she’d probably try to clear it first (if it empties keep it clean and keep cleaning it with dettol or tcp).
