Good morning everyone!

I have really noticed the past few weeks ( even more so the last few days ) that I have no appetite. Literally no sensation of hunger, which for me is really weird because I usually have an embarrassingly enormous appetite and could eat for england! But i feel full constantly- like I have eaten recently when it could have been hours and hours since I last did.

I have noticed a very slight sensation behind the breast bone and slightly in the throat too, something that feels like it resembles an air bubble, nothing painful however my increased burping doesn’t ease the feeling! My symptoms do seem to point towards silent reflux especially with the small amounts of regurgitation I sometimes experience along with the other symptoms.

I don’t eat after 6pm and often still wake in a morning feeling very ‘full’. I have also started sleeping more or less upright to no avail. Theres no heartburn pain however I’ve been suffering with intermittent spells of nausea get worse so I do try and occupy myself!

Any tips or ideas from you lovely lot would be very welcome.

cheers and happy saturday!

@WhereIsMyPhone Hey, have you started any new medication? I only ask as I had the same symptoms and feelings when I started on Fluoxetine last year. I found what helped me was taking indigestion tablets (like these) https://www.superdrug.com/health/heartburn-indigestion/heartburn-indigestion-tablets/superdrug-indigestion-relief-esomeprazole-14-capsules/p/793965 in the morning and then I was able to eat something small around half an hour later. It was a case of eating little and often until my appetite sorted itself out!

I also weirdly found I could stomach 'wet' foods a lot easier, like melon and cucumber etc. After a week and a half / 2 weeks max I was a lot more back to normal.

The only time I’ve had this was when I started taking Fluoxetine. Lasted about three months. It’s quite a rare symptom of taking this SSRI though.

Thanks for your reply! Very interesting you say that, I did take fluoxetine very very briefly (literally a few days) late december early Jan but had to stop because they made me feel extremely dizzy and high - not in a fun way! Haven’t taken any other medication since then and surely that would be out of my system by now. Really interesting you say that though 😃 and can see another poster has said the same too.
