It isn't there when I wake up in the morning, although that area of my neck/chest always seems a bit itchy.

As soon as I have a wash/bath the rash comes up. Have tried changing shower gels, perfumes etc but the rash seems to be getting worse. It is itchy, but if I don't scratch it , it normally dissapears within a few hours.

It is thre latest in a long line of things which makes me think my body is currently falling apart and tbh I just want to cry right now, cos I am sick of feeling crap all the damn time.

Oh, will put pic in profile.

Have you had it a while?
We all had a similar rash a couple of weeks ago. The doc diagnosed slapped cheek, and said that mine and DH's was the adult version of it. It was similar to yours, but our whole bodies were covered

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:21

Not sure exactly how long I have had it really. My neck always seems to be a bit itchy, but have never come up with such a rash before.

It is definatly only on my neck, no where else at all.

It looks a bit like prickly heat. I wonder if you would get prickly heat from a hot shower/bath?

What happens if you put talc on it?

(and that is a gorgeous dress... I like that dress )

saltire · 22/03/2008 10:22

Hmm, it's maybe not what we had then. Could it be exczema

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:23

Other symptoms of late include..

Tiredness
Depression
Dry skin
Dry red eyes
Constipation/Diorhea (just been diagnosed with IBS)

I look and feel like crap every day lately.

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:24

Hmm could be, but it doesn't seem like a particularly dry rash.

Whats that other rash people get with stress ?

OP posts:
fryalot · 22/03/2008 10:24

if you have dry skin anyway, then it could definitely be an exzema type rash....

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:25

Right I see.

Any ideas of anything I can put on it ??

I do have some cream for my hands, could I use that ?

OP posts:
fryalot · 22/03/2008 10:26

vaseline? moisturiser? don't suppose you have any betnovate in your medicine box?

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:28

Nope

Will have a look later and see what I have. Would try anything at the mo, as it looks a right mess.

lovely dress btw, is it for the hen weekend?

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:31

Yep it is, although tbh partying is the last thing I feel like doing at the mo. Don't worry, i am still going though.

Out of interest, does anyone have any idea what the rest of my symptoms could indicate ??

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 22/03/2008 10:32

his flares up now when he's under the weather so coulsd it be that?

Or anxiety?
are you worried about anything (anything differento normal i mean)

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:33

Hmm , worried about anything and everything at the mo tbh. I am having mega anxiety problems, not sure why either.

Planning on seeing my gp, but she is on holiday for 2 weeks.

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 22/03/2008 10:36

Ok, going out on a limb here but I think that possible you are petrified of this hen weekend....its so far out of your comfort zone that its making all those symptoms appear 10 fold.

tell me to shut my gob if I'm way off though....

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:40

No you are right, I am petrified of it, howeever, i think all of this stuff is something more than that really, as I feel so crap.

Have been on the verge of tears all morning, am freezing cold although heating is on full blast and i feel ever so slightly queasy yet again.

I cannot remember the last time I felt well.

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:41

My mum thinks it is my thyroid.

I think she is probably right, but not sure I want to know.

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 22/03/2008 10:44

oh no, I don't mena it just that but the anxiety is making everything else worse iyswim.

can you see another doc?

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:46

Oh yes it is, you are right. I am getting anxious about being anxious now.

Think I might start a thread about hypotyroidism and see what others think.

CrackerOfNuts · 22/03/2008 10:56

Blimey am blarting now.

What the hell is wrong with me.

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 23/03/2008 07:33

how is it this morning nutty?

CrackerOfNuts · 23/03/2008 09:00

It is ok, it faded alot throughout yesterday but I couold still feel it under the skin. I put a bit of cream on it before bed last night.

It will probably flare up again when I have a bath, I think thts the heat doing that.

My mum mentoned shingles , but i'm pretty sure it isn't that.

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 23/03/2008 19:29

Shingles wouldn't fade and re-appear though would it?

(sorry about not replying all day BTW)

Janni · 23/03/2008 19:34

Nickel allergy? Do you wear necklaces?

I can't wear a watch or rings because of sensitivity to jewellery.

Davidsmom · 23/03/2008 19:38

Hi

Cant answer about the rash but one of the things that comes up with a number of your symptoms is coeliac disease- did they rule that out when diagnosing your IBS?

Can get a particular type of rash with this but dont think it comes and goes.

Hope you work out what's going on!
