Is it normal? Everytime I have a cold, flu whatever I also get excruciating back pain. Anyone else?

I get lower back pains and general body aches around shoulders and upper arms. I suspect people may experience body aches in different areas when sick.

I get this as well. Sometimes it’s from lying down too long, my back feels so fragile or just random body aches.

I never used to get this until the first time I had covid and I had horrible hip and lower back pain. Now I get it every time I'm unwell.

Interesting! That's when I first noticed it!

It's almost worse than the actual cold

I get hip/pelic pain when I have a high temperature. I think it's due to an inflammatory response to the virus or something...

PurpleSaucepan · 08/02/2024 20:38

Yup - I have been unwell this week and lots of back pain.

RenovationRenovationRenovation · 08/02/2024 20:42

I have always assumed inflammation, so take aspirin/ibuprofen painkillers.

FuckinghellthatsUnbelievable · 08/02/2024 20:46

Inflammatory response to a virus. I take naproxen which helps.

SnapdragonToadflax · 08/02/2024 20:46

I get that with Covid. It's a very specific ache across my upper back - I've had it three times now.

Pre-Covid I used to get very achy hips and thighs with a fever.

Thanks will try and keep on top of the pain killers.

Same thing here!
Since Covid every time I'm unwell, I get awful lower back pain.

Yes same.

Marshmallow87 · 09/02/2024 19:54

Yes same particularly with tonsillitis. It’s my first warning side. My doctor has said before I have a lot of lymp node tissues running down lower back
