Hello..I am looking for some advice.
i recently had some really bad luck where i took some antibiotics and one of them got stuck to my oesophagus (i was then diagnosed with esophogitis and put on omeprazole for 6 weeks)

i am two weeks in taking them but now i seem to have a constant lump feeling in my throat and a dry mouth I have no pain at all while swallowing or eating if anything it’s the only time I don’t have the feeling and all the back of my throat is sore and red (bumps).
I also have convinced myself I have a lymph node that is enlarged on my neck.

Has Anyone experienced any of these symptoms at all it’s driving me mad!

Snap! I have the same symptoms along with acid reflux. I’m taking a different antacid but constantly have the lump in my throat feeling. An endoscopy showed that there’s nothing there, no lump at all. The GP has prescribed me a low dose antidepressant to see if that helps as I/he thinks it’s related to stress.

Thank you so much for your reply Funderthighs

I also think mine is related to anxiety as it isn’t always there and comes and goes but when it’s there it’s hard to talk myself down and the feeling gets worse.

Have you found the antidepressants have helped at all?

I have an appointment on Monday to possibly speak about starting them I’m reluctant but these symptoms are driving me mad!

Could it be Globus sensation? My DD had this when she was suffering from anxiety/social anxiety. She had CBT for Social Anxiety and it went away. It started coming back again when she got anxious again (exams- she's at school) so she started exercising at the gym and doing meditation/non-sleep deep rest. Google NSDR - the top link is the Huberman video she used.

I’ve only just started the antidepressants @Louise19191 so we’ll see how it goes as they take a few days to build up. @ouch44 you’re right, it is Globus sensation and I’ve also been referred for CBT. Thanks for your suggestion re the video.

@Funderthighs and @Louise19191 how are you both getting on?
my symptoms all sound very similar and wondering about speaking to GP about low dose anti-depressants.

The anti-depressants have helped a lot. I rarely get the sensation now. I’ve also had a course of CBT which has helped with stress and am using the Headspace App to do guided meditation which is very relaxing.
