bloating/stomach moving - worried cryptic pregnancy?! Help!

Hi all

Over the last couple of weeks my upper abdomen has felt bloated/full to the point where i am uncomfortable if im sat down as my bra seems to press on it. I have also had the sensation of something moving in my stomach, exactly like when you're pregnant..going off my last intercourse I would be nearly 7 months.

Now I have done approximately 20 tests over the last few months and all negative, also had 2 HCG bloods which came back not detected and had an ultrasound in October (for unrelated issue) where if i was preg i would have been around 14 weeks so surely if there was a baby they'd have seen it?!! I have also had a period every month which don't seem to have been any different and I get the d/charge on my fertile week etc... I am driving myself crazy (severe anxiety) as there is absolutely no way I could have a baby now - my life is a car crash at the minute and im in no state to have a baby.

I am booked in the GPs next week but im really worried.

I am 36 and someone mentioned ?peri can cause this but I am unsure.

Any advice/comfort would be amazing.

My stomach has movement in it and bubbling sensation exactly what early pregnancy movement feels like - on a regular basis but I'm not pregnant it's my digestive system. Are you quite thin other than the bloating? Because I am and it means things on the inside are felt much easier including my aortic in my stomach, even doctors have commented on it. You've had several different pieces of evidence to prove you're not pregnant so why not try and pin the symptoms on something else?

Im not thin tbh if anything im overweight for my height size 14/6 but the bottom of my stomach is the typical c section saggy pouch (awful) then above my bellybutton to below my breasts feels really hard. My diet has been shocking over recent months (due to ongoing problems at home - stress eating etc). My health anxiety takes over my life its awful.

Thank you for taking time to respond - sometiumes its easier to ask strangers than my family who already think im nuts

If you're worried that it's something then you could speak to your GP and ask them to palpate your stomach and point out the upper area that you're having discomfort in. I also have health anxiety so I know exactly what it feels like to have an idea in your head and be completely unable to let go of it despite evidence and reassurance, so there is no judgement from me only empathy.

Youre worrying yourself for nothing, you cant be pregant given all the imformation, no need to retest and obsess and worry about that at all
Its your stomach in there where you're saying and other organs so gp will check it for you. This worry is not doing you any favours so try to get this fix idea from your head that its baby. Its not. You would know by now if it was, it not only kicks it hiccups it moves its whole body inside of you. At 7 months expect elbows and head sticking out..welll not out out but u know what i mean , its different that just bubbling and poo moving around , its a whole living being in there 😉if u havent seen an elbow or knee relax its not that x

Honestly it sounds more like reflux/trapped wind than anything else. Maybe try rennies/deflitine/omprzalone* and see how you feel?

(your pharmacist can advise the best choice!)

Mint tea is meant to help too.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

The main issue here is my health anxiety I know.. im on the waiting list for CBT, i try to meditate and go on walks etc to try and stop obsessing. Its just been a tough few months leaving an abusive relationship and trying to move on etc I have found it really tough and as a consequence my mental health has taken the brunt of it (as well as my waistline!)

Im joining S/W tonight, hopeful to lose some weight and try and get into some healthier habits

x

Oh I know well the struggle with health anxiety!

Somerandomgirl · 06/02/2024 20:11

I see now why youre stressing not to be a baby. If by any MIRACLE it is.. do not go back to him!!! Dont ever even tell him about it!
But im sure its not so chin up be happy you've left him and now you can do whatever makes you happy. You can do it. Get up tomorrow have a cuppa, ignore this anxiety thats telling you rubbish, you're perfectly fine.

Sounds like constipation OP. I swear by milk of magnesia

WonderingWanda · 06/02/2024 20:19

You are not pregnant, 20 tests 2 blood tests and an ultrasound have proven this. It is quite worrying that you are convincing yourself of this despite the evidence to the contrary. There are lots of conditions which can cause bloating. Have you considered ibs, gluten intolerance or coeliac disease? Are you constipated? It sounds like a digestive issue to me with all the movements as well. When my dh developed IBS he developed a lot of strange bloating symptoms. What does your gp say? I would urge you to divulge to your gp that you are having some quite obsessive thoughts about this issue to see if you can bring forward the cbt support that you are waiting for.

Phantom kicks are pretty normal OP. Cryptic pregnancy isn't really a thing.
