I was offered this in 2019 but due to covid it never happened.
I am due to see the same surgeon tomorrow.
I want to know if it is reasonable to ask for a fresh xray/mri as it's been 5 years. Also, I am not sure if this is the right surgery & am not sure what to ask.

My issues are:
previous history of peroneal nerve entrapment & dorsal tunnel release surgeries
(x 5 over a 5 year period 8 years ago now) this was helpful at the time but feet are now very painful again. I have flat feet, heel spurs & some old breaks in bone
My foot bones hurt all the time, my ankles swell & 'seize up', the soles of my feet hurt. but now my right foot feels like its turning inwards & the tops of my feet hurt too. I need crutches to mobilise despite amitryptyline, pregabalin etc.

Can anyone suggest what to ask? The surgeon was pleasant but very brusque...

@Fixthebone if you see this I'd appreciate any comments you might have?
