hello everybody, I have been having debilitating epigastric pain and on and off sickness and diarrhoea for 6 months, lost half a stone this month and also having problems with my vision so a new doctor referred me for blood tests which included my thyroid my results have come back and the doctor has said he is going to urgently refer me to a specialist and also test me for Graves’ disease as my cousin and Nan both have it. I wondered what people’s thoughts were on my results really as he didn’t really say the severity of it just that he will give me an urgent referral and look out for symptoms of ‘thyroid storm’ I’m a bit shaken up really as I never thought my bad stomach etc would lead to this result
Please see below, they were happy with T4;

Serum TSH level:
0.11 mu/L
Normal range:
0.4 to 4.9

Serum free T3 level:
6.4 pmol/L
Normal range:
2.4 to 6.0

Serum free T4 level:
14.7 pmol/L
Normal range:
9.0 to 19.0

on the referral I’ve also noticed he put down my blood pressure from the last appointment which was 121/96 I don’t know if that has anything to do with it lol

Hi OP,

Please, if you haven’t already done so, join the Thyroid UK forum on Health Unlocked.

It’s a large and active group and you will get very good advice on there from many others who have been in your position.

Hi @Lollipop20 how are you now? I’ve just found out my thyroid is overactive and I’m 6 months postpartum, did you find out the cause?
