Hi,
I have name changed for this because it is personal medical information, but I wondered if anybody might be able to help me understand the what's going on with this hair toxin test result?
My son has terrible anxiety and ASD troubles, and is home schooling at the moment because of it.
He is on quite a restricted diet but has fortified cereal every day, so his iron, B12, calcium levels and so on, should be quite good. I know he would get ill quickly if they weren't, and he hasn't had a viral illness for ages (touch wood) so I'm not worried about that.
But the toxin test shows he is really low in a lot of minerals. I just wondered if you think that is meaningful or if it is irrelevant because it is hair and not his actual body?
We tried giving him a multi-vitamin supplement and that triggered really dreadful panic attacks. If we increase his intake of fortified cereal then he gets much worse anxiety.
His diet doesn't include milk, cheese, wheat, or refined sugar. He drinks tap water. He eats a lot of oats.
I've done tests like this on me and they do reliably show when I am low in iodine.
I would be really grateful to know people's thoughts on it.
Thanks!
