Does anybody take bisoporol for high blood pressure? My doctor has put me on 1.25mg dose but looking online this is a very small amount and I'm not convinced it's going to do much.

Any experiences please?

I am on it. I started on that dose then it was increased after a while. Also Losartan, and two different doses of Elantan, dissolvable aspirin and statins. I had high blood pressure. Eg regularly in 188/136 range.

Hi, I started it a few months ago. My gp said to start at 2.5mg, but I was a bit scared, so took half a tablet the first 6 nights. Didn’t make much difference to my bp at all, so went up to the dose advised, and it has done the trick. Maybe take that dose for a couple of weeks and do a few home bp readings, then contact your surgery with the readings and ask if you should stick with that dose or increase. I think I decided to do the half dose first as that seemed to be the dosing guide in the patient leaflet in the packet.

Thank you!

@Auntiesitting I'm also on enalapril 5mg, so maybe the low dose alongside that will help a little x

Yes I'm on it though I take 5mg combined with 10mg of Amlodipine. Works fine. Although my blood pressure was massive when they put me on it so I'm not surprised my dose is quite big in comparison

I'm on bisoprolol but for a heart arrhythmia rather than blood pressure.

I take 7.5mg per day, and also carry 2.5mg tablets in my bag in case I need them - so total dose is sometimes 10mg per day.
