cerazette, breakthrough bleeding and likeliness of pregnancy ....

basically with cerazette if you miss a pill you get breakthrough bleeding. is this the same as a proper period? what i mean is if you have a period it generally means you're not pregnant, so if you get breakthrough bleeding when missing a pill, does that mean the same or does it not count?

breakthrough bleeding doesn't count as a period. I think tho with Cerazette missing a pill isn't quite as dire as with other POPs - that you only have to take extra precautions for 2 days after the missed does.

BTB isn't a proper period so don't rely on it as a sign that you're not pregnant- it is quite the opposite, that you aren't covered and at potential risk of pregnancy.

Agree with TC about only having to use extra precautionsfor 2 days.

how comes with pills like microgynon it means you aren't pregnant then? cos with pills like that is your period not one big breakthrough bleed cos you have a 7 day break?

It doesn't! You can still have breakthrough bleeds on microgynon when you are PG (usually the bleeds would stop, but not always)
