Tongue pimples-lie bumps

Every other week at the moment I am getting 5-15 pimples (little swollen white bumps) on my tongue (more commonly known as lie bumps apparently but this is what my mum used to call them) and ulcers often on the side of my tongue. They’re painful and usually go away within 5 days or so. They’re so painful, I use mouthwash and brush my teeth regularly so it’s not my oral health in that respect. I also get tonsil stones pretty much every day. I’ve been stressed and under the weather but wanted to know how common this is and anything I can do to get rid of them or prevent them? Help!

See a dentist and also get a blood test for coeliac screen plus full blood count.

It may be lichen planus - please see a dentist.

It could be that you have an allergy to SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) in toothpaste. I had the same kind of symptoms which have now dissapeared after switching to toothpaste which is SLS free.
