Mirtazapine Vs Wellbutrin? Anyone have any experience of both?

I suffer from profound Seasonal Adjustment Disorder although I should say, I'm undiagnosed. In early January I had a Drs consultant and asked if I could have some Wellbutrin (an antidepressant which is designed to help with that). The Dr said no, but I'm welcome to some mirtazapine (another type of antidepressant but with more negative side effects). The Dr said if I wanted Wellbutrin, I'd have to have a consultation with an anti smoking nurse ( because Wellbutrin is used to help people quit nicotine too).

I just wanted a quick solution so I opted for the mirtazapine (the surgery I was using then-ive since registered with a nearer surgery- was quite some way away).

Anyway initially on the mirtazapine I felt low and bleak (was prepared for that) but then felt ok(ish) but sleep wise, it makes me feel like I need 9-10 hours sleep and still feel like a zombie the next day. Oh and despite not really eating more, my body started to change shape (in a bad way). That was what made e want Wellbutrin in the first place

Like I mentioned, I've registered with another practice and have got an appointment with an anti smoking nurse. I'm hoping that I'll get a prescription for Wellbutrin, because without the sun, I feel like I'm dragging weights mentally.

But should I come out and just admit this to the anti smoking nurse outright? Im a chain vaper (I've only had 2 cigarettes this year, of freinds I bumped into) and I feel like a heel because while I vape constantly, it doesn't bother me that much and I feel the nurse might feel I've made the appointment under false pretences. But at the same time, I think it's fxx ked that I was kind of railroaded into taking a drug with lots of nasty side effects and the initial Dr I was speaking to pretty much stonewalled all of my concerns.

Mostly I'd like input of anyone who has experience with both medications, but if someone has anything to say about just one of these meds, please feel free to weigh in. Thanks for reading.

I took Mirtazapine for a year to help with sleep. I didn’t feel it did much for me to be honest. I did gain weight on it though as it made me hungry.
