Chest infection

Hi all,

Last Saturday I started to feel rotten, came home from work Tuesday ill and went to doctors Wednesday. I have a chest infection. Weeks worth of antibiotics.

How long have people suffered with a chest infection? I feel absolutely drained still. I have a 2 year old with additional needs and like a lot of us I haven't got time to be ill!!

Not really sure what this post is for, just feeling extremely sorry for myself

Sorry you’re unwell. The chest infection going round at the minute really seems to linger on beyond antibiotics. I’m on week 5 but it turned into pneumonia; my husband has had it for 3 weeks but has more energy back this week! Hope you feel better soon, it’s really not pleasant!

The infection should clear with the antibiotics but you can feel rough for a while after but go back if you feel it hasn’t cleared. It really, really helps if you can rest. Not easy with a toddler I know but I hope you have someone who can do all the other stuff for a few days.
