Post Lipo Nightmare - Help Me Please

I am a first time poster so please be gentle with me. To get to the point, I had liposuction back in 2021. The doctor I had this with was absolute shit to put it bluntly. He gave me little to no post care advice. Nothing about lymphatic drainage massages and nothing to help me really to reap the benefits of going through the liposuction process on my stomach. Fast forward to today I have lumps across my stomach since I’ve had this done due to the poor aftercare and it is so awful for me. My confidence is gone I cannot wear anything fitted the lump above my belly button is big because he did not tell me about the proper garment to wear post-procedure. So either the fluids have collected and become hard or it’s fibromyalgia. I have today finally made an appointment with a private doctor who I am hoping can help me get rid of this nightmare. But can absolutely anyone help me and advice me on this. What will I have to do to remove these lumpy nightmares. I have been depressed for 3 years now. I just need help to get into the right direction.

it’s also worth noting after the lipo the doctor stopped taking my calls and no one from the clinic would get back to me to help me. To put it frank they took my money and washed their hands on me. Clinic is based on Harley Street.

Have you shown it to your GP?

NeedAllTheHelpICanGet1 · 26/01/2024 21:55

Yes I did. And my GP basically turned her nose up at me and said this is not something they can help with. Even though I pleaded I didn't want any freebies from the NHS I just need advice on how to resolve this catastrophe and where to go, what do I do. I quite literally got pushed out of the door.

You need to see an MLD qualified therapist they may be able to help. I've had lots of liposuction for lipoedema including my lower stomach a qualified therapist has an understating of the layers of skin and healing process. stomach liposuction does not give good aesthetic results if you have loose skin, a lot of surgeons won't do it and they instead recommend tummy tucks.

Yes from A LOT of research on my own part a tummy tuck will have to be done as the lipo was not going to give me the results I wanted regardless. But unfortunately the doctor I had gone to was absolute shit and did not open the window for other routes or give me any advice that would have actually given me the results I wanted. I am hoping the consultant I have an appointment with now will be much more helpful. But the lumps on my stomach are very uncomfortable now and give me great discomfort both physically and mentally.
