Hey everyone!
So I have recently started my period again after stopping breastfeeding my daughter and I was speaking to a few mums about their periods and realised that my 'normal' is not normal.
My 'normal' period consists of not really much blood passing onto the pad I'm wearing but on the toilet, passing large clots - I can feel they come out when I push. If I was to hold them on my hand, they would be about half of my palm. Then by day 2 or 3, hardly anything at all and eventually by day 6 or 7 completly stopped. I've always described it as I have a 7 day period, with 90% of it coming out on day 1.
I have some cramps but never to the point where I am that bothered. Sometimes no cramps at all. I'd describe them as normal and far better than my friends.
I've had two pregnancies, the first I got pregnant after 6 cycles ttc and the 2nd after 2 cycles. Sadly I lost my first pregnancy at 33 weeks due to a genetic condition that the baby developed.
I had investigation for endimitirosis 5 years ago - not the official way - but ultrasounds. I also had key hold surgery to remove appendix and they didn't say they saw anything (don't know if they looked or not). I've also had scans throughout both pregnancies and no cyst or such has been found. Normal smear ect.
But as you can imagine, I'm worried about my fertility trying for the next one and I have convinced myself I have endo and that I will never get pregnant again. Google basically says that my periods are not normal.
My periods have never bothered me as they are what I have always had so don't know whether to go to GP or not.
I should also mention that all hormonal contraception does not suit me - I spot on all of them so I've always deemed myself sensetive to hormones.
Basically, long story short - does anyone have these symptoms and not have endo or pcos? Could this just simply be my normal?
Just to say, I appreciate honesty, but I'm a hypochondriac and so please be sensitive!
Thank you in advance x
