I've just been asked to book a GP appointment to discuss my iron levels following a blood test. I've had symptoms of anaemia and a recent gallbladder, so I'm not surprised.
However, I'm due to have an operation tomorrow and am concerned it'll be cancelled now.
Can anyone shed any light on these results, please?
Serum iron 4.8 [-4.7 decrease]
Serum transferrin % 6 [-4 decrease]
I have no idea what these mean.
