Hi, can anyone help? I had a terrible, painful sore throat in the run up to Christmas. Getting a GP appointment here is like securing a space on a flight to the moon, so I saw the pharmacist who advised to do pain relief, hot drinks etc and consult GP if no better. Couldn't get GP appointment. Through DP's work health insurance we can access a private GP via an app, so I eventually did a call with a doctor who diagnosed tonsilitis and prescribed penicillin. Within two days I was much better, but now a week on from finishing the course it's back. I've booked another call today but now wonder if I'm wasting my/the doctor's time? Could I try a different AB or are they likely to tell me just to wait it out?
