He had explosive diarrohea this morning although it seems to have settled a bit now.

He is hungry.

So far this morning he has had 2 slices of plain bread, half a banana and some plain rich tea biscuits.

Doesn't want plain rice or pasta. Doesn't like scrambled egg.

He is drinking 7-up and water.

will he eat mashed potato?

TotalChaos · 19/03/2008 12:28

I'ld say whatever he feels like as long as it's fairly bland and not too full of dairy.

bubblagirl · 19/03/2008 12:29

starchy foods are best for upset tummys

Jane68 · 19/03/2008 12:30

Don't they say apples and rice are the best thing. Make sure you get a Dioralyte down him, my next door neighbour's baby had sickness and diarrhea over the weekend and ended up fitting because his blood sugar was so low. No one had told the Mum to get Dioralyte.

MrsBadger · 19/03/2008 12:31

plain bread and rich teas good
also honey/jam toast/sandwiches

Lucozade Sport much tastier than Dioralyte and does the same thing

Buda · 19/03/2008 12:33

I don't have any dioralyte - he is 6 so am not too worried about dehydration as he is drinking.

Not keen on potato MamaG.

He is a crap eater at the best of times. Lives on pasta with cheese or ham and cheese sandwiches or pizza etc.

will ribena do the same thing?

Buda · 19/03/2008 12:44

He has agreed to plain pasta.

Sigh. Am SO fed up of him being ill.
