It could be a sign of low vit B12. Any other results going up or down?

JustTooDarnLoud · 18/01/2024 13:10

Are you vegetarian/vegan?
B12 deficiency can cause high mch, but you would need your labs reference range to say what is high. Our lab normal is iirc 27-32 so you’d be marked ‘satisfactory’ if you were in our surgery.

It needs to be interpreted in the context of the rest of your results.

I think it might be linked to fatty liver / nafld / fnh / liver disease

All rest of full blood count is within normal range
Ive emailed my gastro consultant / liver specialist
