Skin itching when inactive

This is a strange one.
When I'm inactive during the day or in bed at night I itch, randomly all over my body.
When I'm active I don't.
It's not because I'm focussing on it more when I'm not doing anything, it's a definite pattern.
Has anyone else had this? I can't make head nor tail of it.

Is your bmi normal / good ?
You could have fatty liver - even with liver function test as normal

@ronoi I am going through quite a stressful period and I understand that can cause itching etc. I just can't understand why it's only when I'm laying down

@worldwidetravel2017 yes BMI is fine. I suppose it could be fatty liver. Dr has prescribed steroids which are helping a bit, but not totally.

Fatty liver is common but common in over weight people
If your BMI is fine then likely not
