Throat movement when swallowing- hyoid bone? Any docs

I have a telephone appointment with a doctor on Wednesday but worrying if they will think i’m mad and struggle to make sense!

I’ve been coughing really badly (consistently, really bad at night too, I don’t even get more than 10 mins without cough spell but nothing coming up) This started last Saturday. Just this symptom nothing else a cough from chest area as feels even if I cough it doesn’t clear the irritant. I have no other symptoms so unsure whether the doc will provide antibiotics as dunno how they work out when its viral vs bacterial.
My worry is though and I am unsure if this is something that will pass is that I feel like when I swallow there is some bone moving in my throat, and can feel it popping/clicking as it does this, its hard to tell if any pain due to all coughing but I feel its now noticeable to me. I do have hypermobility and when I googled hyoid bone it did say it can be possible to discoate this with my condition tho I don’t recall it feeling like it did
i’m also just guessing this is the name and thing it could be, it doesn’t happen everytime but frequently. What would a doc likely do or has anyone experienced :( and is it possible to do something to this area with all the coughing!
