Strange virus symptoms

Had a sore throat for a couple of days (more around my glands and tonsils) accompanied by a mucus cough. Then have had constant nausea with quite extreme heartburn every time I ate any meal/snack of any size. That’s still all going on to some degree but now I have incredibly itchy skin all over, can’t see any rash. They seem like a really bizarre set of symptoms!? Has anyone else had anything similar?

No to the cough, but yes to scratchy throat, and definitely yes to the nausea and it went on for days! It was hideous and I couldn't decide what to eat as felt sort of hungry and then would eat a bite and that was all I wanted. I haven't had itchy skin but did have a rash. It has been so bizarre and has wiped me out for such a long time. Nearly a week now. I have done a COVID test but it was negative.

@coffeeisthebest sorry you have it too I’m fed up of the nausea. Yes i can only eat really tiny portions the moment I go past I feel like I’ve overeaten and the nausea gets worse. Same I’ve done a covid test as the symptoms are so odd and it was negative.

This is reassuring to hear. It has been like being pregnant again. Also if I have over exerted myself as I start to feel better I go straight back to feeling nauseous again.

I had nausea, heartburn, zero appetite, diarrhea... Then developed mild cold like symptoms and just generally feeling a bit off... That was covid for me. Never had a cough, the absolute worst symptoms were the stomach related ones. So could be covid for you too, or nausea type symptoms can occur with other cold type viruses as well. Not sure about the itchy skin though! Hopefully just a cold and you'll start to feel better soon.

@HeavyOnMyHeart yes the stomach ones are the worst as the rest are a bit more manageable. My Covid test was negative but does sound very similar. Hope you feel better soon

Similar symptoms here, apart from the rash and itch. Tested positive for Covid today! First time for me, at 76, and have had all the vaccinations. Mine started last Tuesday/Wed, and felt as though I’d been hit by a truck, then cold symptoms, runny nose, stuffy head, but also stomach pains, but as I have IBS, I wasn’t sure whether that was to blame.

COVID. Test again. Swab throat as well as nose.

Had this last week...bang covid.
First test was negative though.
