4th virus since November

I know I'm over reacting but I could cry. I can't believe I have another virus to recover from. They have all mainly given me a sore throat amongst less severe symptoms.
The second last one was mid December and I had a raging sore throat for 12 days for which I took antibiotics. I had headaches daily for 3 weeks. My husband and daughter were then sick over Xmas and NY and husband is still struggling but more able to function.

This time I've got the usual sore throat which no medication is helping with. My muscles are aching. Head is sore. I'm absolutely exhausted.

Is anyone else being struck by repeated yet similar viruses?

I'm meant to be working tomorrow but am just not able. Who is going to believe I'm genuinely sick again?!!!

OP you have my total sympathy. It’s like a viral hell out there at the moment and whenever I leave the house and mix with people I get ill.
The best pain killer for sore throats I’ve found is gargling with dissolved aspirin. It seems to just dampen the pain down to more bearable levels.
I’m currently on day 15 of my latest snotty cold/sinusitis virus and am totally fed up with it all.

Day 15, you must be exhausted. It really is so awful currently. Yet I still can't help thinking there must be something amiss with my immune system to succumb to every virus out there!
I've been using aspirin but not gargling so will give that a go. The NSAIDs are unfortunately destroying my stomach as a pleasant secondary effect!
Currently awake, barely able to swallow with yet another pounding headache and earache.
Grim!

I’m on my 3rd since November. One Covid, 2 not. Went down with the last one just after Christmas and still not fully over it. Sick of it now!
Gargling with aspirin but not swallowing it will help your throat without affecting your stomach.

Never thought about not swallowing the aspirin! Thanks, will definitely try this.

I hope you're better soon. I'm sorry you're suffering too but it does give me some reassurance that others are going through similar.

Became sick 24th Dec and still recovering. Had the flu then caught covid immediately after/end of flu.
Before that, around 14th Dec kid was sick, cold type for a couple of weeks, she just couldn't shake it, ended up with a rash and being so run down I was sleeping with her and not resting well.
I cannot wait until I'm better and feel alive again.
Obviously kid back at school, so just hoping to avoid the next thing. Yaaaaaaaay.

It's not just you! My colleagues and I have been poorly since September with one thing or another. I had an awful cough / cold which lasted about 2 months, then covid, sinusitis, then a UTI, a sick bug and now I'm awake all achey again.

I'm totally sick of it - we were discussing it at work last week and so many people are catching one thing after another.

I work at a school though so that probably doesn't help!
