I've been really breathless recently and noticed that when I exhale, there's a wheezing noise every time, towards the end of the breath.
I seen the GP a few weeks ago and they told me my chest sounds fine, nothing to worry about and the breathlessness is likely due to me being slightly anemic. (Previously seen them due to extreme fatigue and bloods confirmed).
I was issued a flow reader and the readings seem fine so I've just left it at that.
I'm lying in bed right now listening to my breathing and every time I exhale, I'm wheezing. I also had a mild cold over new-year and was coughing up hard green phlegm so I think this may have exasperated the issue.
I know the answer is to call the GP back but I'm never taken seriously whenever I call and for some reason, they treat me like a hysterical woman.
I am concerned this could be an infection or even asthma but the thought of being treated like a hysterical woman, really puts me off being seen.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? If so, what did it turn out to be? Do you think I could wait it out and see if it clears on it's own?
