Hi I was wondering if anyone else had felt like this before. For the last 2 days I have been in a huge amount of pain in my chest with my heart is spreading round my back under my rib cage and lungs. The pain has been so bad I’ve been in tears. I’ve been sick a lot, no energy, boiling hot then freezing cold. Last night I had pins and needles in my legs and right arm through to fingers. Has anyone else had this? Thank you in advance

Phone 111 or go to A&E, and I’m usually the one thinking A&E is unnecessary on some of these threads!

I was going to ask if you’ve had covid recently, as I know someone it triggered myocarditis in (now recovered) as a lot of the symptoms sound similar but, in your case, I’d either be heading to A&E or phoning 111 asap.

Why on earth have you not gone to hospital with extreme chest pain?? Please go! Chest pain so bad it makes you cry sounds like a serious emergency.

@Rachaelc1981 you need to phone 999 immediately or get yourself to A&E as a matter of urgency.

All these symptoms could be a heart attack. It could also be nothing much, but you won't know until you've had the urgent checks.

Thank you for your replies. Pains have eased in chest but still lower back and spine 🤷‍♀️ X

Just go to A&E.

Martyring yourself isn't a good idea.

Wafflesandcrepes · 14/01/2024 18:01

Hi - A&E asap. If it’s a problem with you le aorta for example, the pain can disappear and reappear and migrate. Please go to A&E asap.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Any pains or symptoms you described please do not ignore and wait to pass (it’s great it’s passed this time and you’re no longer in pain) but you could be having a silent or mini heart attack which causes damage to your heart and tissue and if this is the case a chance of a bigger one could happen. Not to try worry you, take care of yourself and get checked out
