Sinusitis? Dizzy, ear ringing…

Mid December had cough and heavy cold. Then got non bacterial tonsilitis. All seemed to clear, but Xmas eve I started getting facial pressure, a light headache and dizziness.

I saw a pharmacist who advised salt water spray for my nose and it sounded like sinusitis.

Anyway it didn’t help so after a few days I called the GP who gave me a steroid nasal spray. Symptoms continued, no better, no worse. But I was getting lots of nose bleeds from the steroid spray.

Fast forward to the start of this week- the dizziness is so bad I had to ring the GP again. They said it’s probably still sinuses inflamed somewhere and they’d give me stemetil for the dizziness.

The dizziness is odd though- it’s kind of like being in a dream/hazy/fuzzy kind of dizziness.

The facial/nose/cheek pressure is back along side a lovely ringing in my right ear 😫

Sudafed has helped and I am now able
to potter on around the house again- as I could barely stand up at the start of the week.

Should sinusitis last this long?

Ive started to religiously take the sudafed every 4 hours now which I think is helping.

is there anything else I can do?

is the dizziness and weird feeling, including ringing in the ear a usual part of sinusitis?

I only have a weeks worth of stemetil and scared when I stop taking it I will be in the same boat.

I just want to feel normal 😭

I had sinusitis for around 6 weeks once. The only thing that helped for me was a steroid spray but the worst part was definitely the dizziness.

Dont take Sudafed too long as it can cause rebound

Yeah the dizziness is the worst part!

To add to it I have oral thrush which I can’t get rid of!

I might try the spray again and put up with the nose bleeds.
