IBS

I have terrible bloating. It starts just under my bust and goes all the way down. I'm on day 5 of my cycle and this started on day 1. Only had it once before like this and ot was 6 months ago. The doctor said it was likely IBS and gave me mebeverine. The bloating and pain has been terrible. My bowel movements have been normal although a little more frequent. Does this sound like IBS? Does pain and bloating with IBS occur so high up? My mind is in overdrive.

Bump. Anyone?

I'm still suffering today. I bought some buscopan earlier but so far the only thing that relieved it was having a poo... (tmi)

My IBS comes in flares, so every 6/8 weeks I get 1-3 days of cramps and diarrhoea. It can be different for everyone however. Your gp cannot diagnose IBS without excluding other things. I had two FIT tests, stool tests for inflammation and bacteria and parasites, coeliac test, blood tests, abdominal ultrasound and a federally to gastro before I was diagnosed with IBS
