I was reading a post recently where the OP had a virus and also some itchy patches. I can't find it now but other posters were recommending she has bloods checked for things like b12 (possibly?). I can't remember the other advice or find the thread.
My recent virus started with swollen eye, then after 3 days it went down but I began with a horrible sinus infection in the same side as the eye, then chesty cough and now it has now also resulted in itchy lumps and patches all over my top half, mostly round my chest and neck but a few lower down my back and on tummy. Not changed washing powder, no other known allergies. And yesterday my other eye started itching and swelling painfully so I fear it's going the same way, just with my other sinus. I'm going to ask at the pharmacy shortly what I can do to ease the itchiness as they're driving me mad and the eye is very sore - already taken an antihistamine yesterday and today but it's done nothing - and will also try to get a GP appt. Can anyone please suggest what bloods I should be asking to be checked at the GP? They are generally useless sadly, so unless I ask specifically I think they'll just say it'll run its course, just rest, vitamins, lose weight, moderate exercise and so on, the normal spiel when they can't prescribe antibiotics or whatever.
For context I turned 40 in the summer (so could be peri?) had covid in Sept for about 2-3 weeks and felt weak/poorly ever since. Periods not been normal since then, and had constant colds. My immune system was obviously low so I got the covid and flu jabs. In late October I had another normal cold, then a few weeks after a strange bug which was vomiting and diarrhoea solid for 2 days, and after I was starting to get better from that, I totally lost my voice for about 2 days for no apparent reason, my throat didn't hurt, the voice just vanished. In between all this I had usual colds and coughs on and off. Then Xmas eve started with the most recent eye/sinus thing. I spent 2 weeks solid just sitting around, blowing my nose, getting exhausted just from little things. This week only just started to feel well again, went to work for a few days, but still unable to do much like normal gym sessions or stay awake beyond 10pm.
