Lump

Hi all- I had an emergency c section almost 2 years ago now. The recovery was brutal. A few months after the c section I noticed (what I can only describe as) a hard very painful lump in my lower right hand side abdomen (no where near my scar). But the lump is only there when i tense my stomach. And you can’t see it. When I lie down you can’t feel it at all. I went to the doctors 2 months ago and it took a while to get the doctor to find the lumps location as it’s not a simple find. Once she did she called another doctor in and said it’s potentially a hernia. Fair enough. It calmed me down a little bit. They referred me for a non emergency ultrasound. It’s been 2 months and I still haven’t received a letter to confirm I’m on the waiting list. I’ve rang the surgery many times asking if I’ve definitely been referred and they said yes and I need to be patient. They said i can always ring the hospital I’ve been referred to, to double check. But i don’t know which hospital I’ve been referred to?! I haven’t received a confirmation letter. Anyways the surgery is completely refusing to help me so not sure what else to do.

OP, I was put forward for an ultrasound because of a feeling of a lump in my left ovary, 15 months after diagnosis for left side breast cancer. It took 4 months to come through. But it did come through, and was subsequently followed up with an appt with a gynae.

I know it's difficult and worrying, but I'm sure your GP will have put you on the list. I hope it goes OK.
