Switching from one Antidepressant to another

I am going to be switching from Duloxetine to Amitriptyline. Will I still experience withdrawal symptoms. I meant to ask the doctor but it slipped my mind.

When my son switched, his doctor did a slow reduce of one while he was starting the low dose of the other, so he had some overlap instead of a rapid change.
